Application of the CCP IgG 192T kit

The IgG CCP Anti kit is designed for the quantitative and semi-quantitative measurement of specific IgG class antibodies against the CCP antigen in human serum or plasma. This kit is supplied in a package of 192 tests by Arghvan Teb Kavian. Anti-CCP was first described and reported in 1998. In this method, the presence of antibodies against Citrirullinated Cyclic Peptide in the blood is detected.

These autoantibodies are proteins produced by the immune system in response to stimulation caused by citrulline. Citrulline is an unnatural amino acid that results from the alteration of the amino acid arginine. A high titer of Anti-CCP in a significant number (more than 40%) of rheumatoid arthritis patients who have negative rheumatoid factor is useful for early diagnosis of the disease.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a common systemic autoimmune disease that affects 1% of the world's population. In addition to reducing the average life expectancy of patients, this disease is associated with significant morbidity, so that 50% of RA patients after After ten years of the disease, they are unable to continue their work, so there is a need for a sensitive and specific serological test to diagnose the disease in the early stages of the disease.

Considering that the course of RA is different in different patients, it will be more useful if this test is related to the severity and activity of the disease and is able to predict the course of the disease. IgM isotype of rheumatoid factor, which is performed as a serological test in laboratories today, is not specific for rheumatoid arthritis and can be positive in infectious diseases, other rheumatic diseases and even in a percentage of healthy people.

In this test, by using synthetic protein containing citrulline, the antibodies that are against citrullinated peptides in the serum of patients and are specific for RA are measured. This antibody becomes positive in the early stages of the disease and even before symptoms appear, and is related to severe cases of erosive disease, and performing it together with rheumatoid factor (RF) increases the sensitivity of both tests.
