Application of ANA Elisa 192T kit
The ANA Anti kit of Arghwan Teb Kavian Company is designed for the quantitative and semi-quantitative measurement of specific antibodies of the IgG class against nuclear antigens in human serum or plasma. This kit is supplied in a package of 192 tests by Arghvan Teb Kavian. Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic autoimmune disease that can affect many organs, especially the skin, joints, blood, kidneys, and central nervous system.
The result of an autoimmune reaction is that inflammation occurs in certain organs (such as joints, kidneys, skin, etc.). Multiple inherited risk factors along with incidental environmental factors are thought to be responsible for this abnormal immune response. It is known that several factors, including hormonal imbalance during puberty, stress and environmental factors such as exposure to sunlight, viral infections and drugs (such as isoniazid, hydralazine, procaine amide, anticonvulsant drugs) can be the initiators of lupus.
Lupus is known all over the world. The disease appears to be more common in African-Americans, Hispanics, Asians, and Native Americans. According to some estimates, there are about 36,000 lupus patients in Iran. The onset of lupus before the age of 5 is rare and it is uncommon before the age of puberty. If lupus occurs before the age of 18, it is called SLE-onset-childhood lupus with different titles such as pediatric SLE, juvenile SLE, and childhood SLE.
Often, women in the reproductive age of 15-45 years are affected, and in this age group, the ratio of women to men is 9:1. Autoantibodies that react with various nuclear components are called antinuclear antibodies. Antinuclear antibody (ANA) laboratory findings are characteristic of lupus. Also, ANA may be found in patients with other types of autoimmune diseases and normal people in the community. In the ANA test, a group of different antigens present in the cell nucleus is used and it identifies autoantibodies that react with these intracellular components.
The ANA test is commonly used to diagnose lupus, and in this case it has about 100% sensitivity because practically all patients with lupus have a positive ANA result. However, ANA results are not specific for lupus in any way and may be found in other connective tissue diseases such as drug-induced lupus (95%), scleroderma (90-70%), inflammatory myositis (60-40%), Sjogren's syndrome (% 90-75%) can also be seen. In addition, even some healthy individuals have positive ANA results, especially at low titers. Therefore, a direct ratio between the antibody titer in the ELISA test and the severity of clinical symptoms is usually seen.
